High on a Mesa. Wide Sky. One Soul’s Vision.

There’s a stillness that lives only on the high desert mesa.

Up here, with nothing but wide sky and wind whispering across juniper and stone, I meet students in the most intimate way possible—not just artist to artist, but soul to soul.

This week, I had the immense pleasure of working privately with a student who loves this land deeply. Who sees it not just with his eyes, but with his whole being. A man whose reverence for the earth pulses through every brushstroke.

What a blessing… to learn how he sees.

To gently help him translate that vision, that feeling—through the media best suited for his hand. His spirit. We explored watercolor, charcoal, pastel… until something clicked. The medium met the man, and he softened into the joy of it all.

This is why I teach the way I do.

Not to mold you into a version of me.
Not to teach you my style.
But to awaken your inner artist.

To find the quiet voice inside that’s been waiting for permission… and to say yes. Yes to that voice. Yes to your expression.

Because your creativity is not meant to match mine.
It’s meant to reveal you.

Just as each relationship with God, or Source, or Spirit is unique—like no two marriages are the same—your relationship with your inner artist is sacred. Singular. Deserving of honor.

I am here as a midwife to that voice.
To hold space.
To offer tools.
To ask the right questions.
To walk with you as your artist-self emerges, not as a student… but as the sovereign creator you’ve always been.

It is my greatest honor.
